im not sure it is. i havnt checked it for charge or anything like that so i dont have any details to base it on... but,

takes a fackin age to start in the morning. Starter motor sounds strong, rapid turnover and i can hear it wanting to catch ...and then it does.

ive had the tourer over a year, and its been exactly the same every day, apart from the once or twice when it starts right off the bat.

this only happens from cold or if its left for 1/2 hour or longer.

i have changed,.

ignition cables with dme cable
new diz
new rotor
new sparks. (but with the same as i had in previous. the ones that bmw gave me had the "nipple" on but my originals only had threads. the bottom half was different (shorter or longer ,cant remember) ont the ones from bmw aswell.)
new filter
new oil
new oil filter
new fpr
cleaned afm
tightened all hoses

now... on the list of possibles is

new battery
new fuel pump
fuel filter
injector clean / replacement

basically all the expensive shit

lads and lasses, what d´you reckon??

someone said summin about dripping injectors. would one of those redex bottles have anything to help with that?

clarky, its a sealed battery, (i think it is , no visible caps or anythin) but im tempted to plug another one in if i can find a compatible just to see.

who knows what spark plugs should be in a non cat 6 pot 20 tourer from 89?

Andy...... Try the engine temp sensor in the thermostat housing. I'm not sure which colour it is, but it's the one with two terminals. It certainly don't sound like the battery at fault Dude.
