PE30 Staff Sergeant Posts: 828 Group: PE30 Members Member #22 Joined: 10-11-05	Putting a sub in the boot of my sport, so it launches some bass through the ski hatch. Ive got a 400watt rms pheonix gold amp to power the bad boy, any suggestions or recommendations would be nice before buying. Im after deep bass upto about Ł100

PE30 Lance Corporal Posts: 156 Group: PE30 Members Member #151 Joined: 30-11-05	Normally, i would build my own. Using a program called BlauBox, its made by Blaupoint. But last time i just went out and bought a descent box for about Ł120.00 Its a twin 12" driver, isobaric sub (both drivers facing each othe into a sealed chamber), ported rears. It is wired up in parallel, 2 ohms, Driven by a mono 350 watt amp, and it dont sound to bad, it tuned to around 20-50Hz, But above that, it can get a bit muddy, ( Electronic Crossover used in system). It does make a big diffenece to the ounch if you remove the ski hatch and direct the ports into the cabin. I do have some test Frequencies if anyone want them (10 - 120Hz in 10hz steps)

PE30 Private 1st Class Posts: 70 Group: PE30 Members Member #191 Joined: 13-12-05	Go on Ebay and get yerself a VIBE 12'' amp.. some are active (they have a bulit in amp) some are pasive either way they kick hard a$$ period! i got that in my boot with a huge sheet of steel in the way which is my hood conpartment and i still get serious sound from it..and mine is an active one too seriouly,more than enough power and i bought this second hand for Ł60/80,cant remember now
