Ive had two 325i sports now, both when i bought them had 'cans' on both tails, giving it a really nice finish, but whenever I have a replacement put on its just crappy looking pipes which dont really come out of the bumper properly.

Does the sport's exhausts have a different part number or something? I remember a discussion on another forum someone said "make sure you get a proper sport exhaust"...whether this means direct from the stealers i dont know.

Anyone?

if you want standard sound then go for original bmw exhaust they are best, also bmw chrome tips can be bought as well to finish it off nicely.

Are these just available from BMW then? Do they come with black tailpipe sleaves?

Chrome tip = 82 11 9 401 456
Black tip = 82 11 9 401 457
Both still good part numbers. Black about £20 each, chrome about £16 each.
There are no specific part numbers for exhaust systems for Sports, they're the same as normal 325i's.
ECP do chrome sleeves, 62mm diameter, £9.19 each + VAT.

Sport were fitted with the black ones from new, to go along with the shadowline.

Also, cars fitted with M-tech kit's would have had exhausts that exit straight rather than at an angle.

Clarky, do you actually need a new exhaust/system? If so I have a brand new one Bosal I think, only trouble is that it is welded together to make a 1 piece system from the downpipes back.

It is in York too, and collection is prob the only sensible option.

£50 to take it away fella, it is brand new and never been fitted etc.

E30slagg: My car is due an mot and think from all the grounding its done, suspect the exhaust is bent/dented & fcuked!! Was making premiture enquiries.

Besides, York would cost me more in petrol than to get one from here. Your about 200 odd miles away mate

Thanks for the offer though, appreciate it!
