Right guy`s, I`ve got a nasty oil leak which seems to be coming from the rear /underside of the distributor.

This then drips down and part of it go`s onto the exhaust manifold which cause`s quite a smell!
Some also go`s onto my drive which I`m now starting to get some ear ache about.

I`ve not lost any power or water and the oil seems to be the right colour as well.
The temperature gauge is good also, but the oil light stays on a bit longer when starting up but no noise`s are to be heard.

It`s a 316 m10 1986 69000

Help please guy`s!!

Got it sorted Wayne mate! :woohoo: :woohoo:

I took it to my local one man band garage who I use and he said it was the oil pressure switch.
He ordered one and I picked it up ( 5 mins!) and he fitted it (5 mins!)

£10

And to be really cheeky as well, I said "can I see you right tomorrow?"

He is a very good bloke who`s not out to rob people.

glad you got it sorted Mart, i was going to suggest oil pressure switch, but you threw me off the scent when you said it was dripping on to the manifold, i thought my old one was right at the bottom of the engine, i can't remember for definite though as it was a while ago that i did mine

anyway at least it's done now, and it's a nice cheap fix.
