well me and my mate Gordon picked up a 320 touring yestarday. so after picking it up we had a look around it and decided it was time to talk the wife into having another E30..

needs a full system ( being fitted tomorrow ) windscreen, drivers headlight ( fitted now )

we cleaned it and fixed out the problem with the rear lights.

the front seats let the interior down and it needs a good clean inside but weve started doing this and it will be looking good for Glamis..

so heres some pics.. it will be getting 15s fitted tomorrow and hopefully in for its MOT early next week
will get some more pics up once its been tidied up more

Very nice indeed.

Does "tidied up more" include those arches? It would be wise to have them shaved and re-sealed, before they become a big expensive job, and hopefully it'll last long enough for her to back it into the wall at Waitrose car park. Women love to drive their cars backwards into all sorts of shit. But, I digress, possibly due to excessive alcohol consumption.

was advised when it was up on the ramps that the crankshaft seal is weeping resulting in an oil leak which as I'm sure every one will know is an engine out job to repair.. so needless to say ill just be getting my other engine ready to go in then doing it over a weekend which i can see getting done sooner rather than later

Is it a genuine Hartge? Weird to see one all de-badged and stripped of markings.

it looks quite tidy so far mate im with cloud is it a genuine hartge or are you making it look like one ? either way its a nice example of a touring mate shame you have to have the engine out though

At a guess, if he's got another engine to spare, it'll be a standard BMW M20 engine, not a Hartge 2.7 and I doubt anyone with half a brain would take out a Hartge 2.7 lump to put in a BMW 2.5 just because the Hartge unit is a bit leaky. So I think it's a normal Touring, being given a Hartge dressing.

Edit:

Also: "well me and my mate Gordon picked up a 320 touring yestarday"

I don't think Hartge bothered with a 2.0

As well as that, that's not a Hartge exhaust. Might be a giveaway to those that know.

sadly shes just a 320 but being given the hartge dressing.. so far its got the wheels, steering wheel, badges and a sparco twin tube strut brace.

as of the w/end I've done a deal on a 525e so shell be getting a 2.7 built up for going into the bay so the 2.5 will be getting kept for the sport.

i am planning on getting the stripes and a hartge rear box.

I've got a 6 branch and full s/s system to go on when I'm fitting the new lump so should sound nice and throaty as well.

ill be planning on doing the stripes after the winter as I'm planning on getting it resprayed as there's a few bits I'm not happy with

again best thing about a 320 is there normally loved and the shells arent abused so its not really a heart ache as id be removing the 2.0 to put in a bigger lump.

the car has a full bmw service history and has been looked after im suprised about the oil leak as everything else was genuine on the car

Should result in a very cool touring when all finished!

Be sweet if you get your hands on a set of Hartge arbs for it and could then get a 40% LSD made up for it and it would be almost the real deal!
