Wheel wobble when braking

My Sport has started to develop a quite annoying wheel wobble when braking. I've had the discs replace recently so can't imagine that they have warped. Garage is telling me possibly replace the hubs but dealer is saying replace a couple of bushes on the wishbones. Any advice would be greatly appreciated here as I don't want to have to waste money on parts that are not needed.

P.S. Not seen many new posts on here recently, what's happened to everyone?

Hi buddy, Do yourself a favour and change the complete wishbones and the "lollipop" bushes as well .They are not an arm and a leg but the difference you notice will be huge !!!!

Some say use BMW, parts and some say ECP or GSF or, or , or ???

If you are keeping the car please do both sides and the anti rollbar bushes at the same time. I dont think the hubs are at fault here.

It is quiet and Im glad of a decent post.lol

Cheers Mart, I was thinking of just going for a new pair of wishbones, you've kind of convinced me now. I've priced them up from the dealer and they are £109 each, not bad really considering they come with new ball joints too.

The "lolipop" bushes you refer to, are they the ones that are at the back of the arm? They are the "Brake Reaction" bushes I believe and don't come with the arm. Sounds like it's worth replacing them also.

Tar very much for the advice.

If you renew the anti roll bar bushes as well at the same time then its job lot done for quite a few years and, everything will feel nice and tight.

Quite a few people have replaced their lollipop bushes with "M3" eccentric ones , I dont know why but they say its a better choice.

Dont forget the tracking aftrwards as it will definately need doing.

Sod it mate.................... pop some trackrod ends on as well and be done with it sir!!!!

I did all this to mine and 18 months on , it feels soooooooooooo nice to drive especially for a 23 year old motor.
